Faith is a journey, but it isn't one meant to be traveled alone. While we love gathering as a full church on Sundays, we believe the deepest growth happens when we "shrink" the church down to the size of a living room. Whether you are looking for a place to ask questions or just want to build deeper friendships, there is a seat at the table for you.

What is Midweek Bible Study?

In La Puente, we host a recurring ministry called Midweek Bible Study, which is also known by some as a Small Group Study. One midweek evening per week from September through May, our members and guests gather in small groups of 10-20 people in a host home for prayer, reflection, and worship. It’s a dedicated time to focus on fellowship and see how the Bible applies to our everyday lives. We have a group based out of LA and OC. How It Works

Our groups are designed to be low-pressure and high-connection.

  • The Schedule: Meetings usually take place during midweek evenings, September through May.  They are hosted at a local host home, depending on the region (LA or OC). Contact us for more information on the next midweek Bible Study closest to you.
  • Discussion: We don't just pick a random topic. The topics for the year are discussed and voted on in September. We then talk through a discussion guide based on that week’s topic, voted on by the group. It’s a chance to take what we heard at church and figure out how to live it out every day of the week.
  • Host Homes & Shared Meals: Groups meet at a host home for study and a casual post-study snack.

Our Goals: Unity and Growth

We have three simple goals for every small group:

  1. Unity: To build a tight-knit family that cares for one another.
  2. Maturity: To push each other toward spiritual growth and "iron sharpening iron."
  3. Connection: To keep God’s Word on our lips and in our hearts throughout the week.
